Co-Scholastics
It is a privilege and a responsibility to be instrumental in bringing up young minds in an atmosphere of excellence and enrichment. And to this effect we provide a wide range of extracurricular and co-curricular activities. Art, music and dance give all the students a chance to learn and develop their skills and build confidence levels. A flexible time schedule affords time for after-school programmes outside the formal timetable. Every child can participate in sport, literary, cultural and other activities.
In the present era of information technology, where one has to keep pace with the massive technological advancement, the School’s well-equipped computer laboratory provides students easy access to the latest in the field of technology, including the multimedia range of computers and the Internet. Each theme picked at a level of study is also integrated with the computer studies programme offered at School. Children are trained to use Paintbrush, develop PowerPoint presentations, use Word processing and other softwares to work on project based study in School.
We have an array of excellent sports facilities which include swimming, cricket, tennis, volleyball, skating, tennis, basketball and football backed by a team of expert trainers. The school also has Cricket[ KIOC] and Swimming[Nisha Millet] academies.More physical activities are ensured as a part of the academic programmes. Every child gets an opportunity to participate in competitive athletics and inter-scholastic sports. In fact, sessions are dedicated to sports, games and activities.
The most recent introduction on the sports front is EduSports, which believes in creating a generation of healthy and fit school children. They offer a year-round sports and physical education programme which is both age appropriate as well as designed for a limited space. With daily lesson plans, and specific props integrated with the curriculum based in standards from NASPE (National Association of Sports and Physical Education), EduSports provides a structured physical curriculum.
Teachers are trained on EduSports curriculum and delivery, usage of props provided, and reporting and assessment to measure fitness.
Cambridge School believes in holistic education and development of students. To this end, we believe in providing equal opportunities in co-curricular activities and academics. Activities such as Music, Painting, Dancing and Theater are actively encouraged.
In an effort to meet the growing need to tap the hidden talent of every child - a need that takes a backseat in today's competitive academic world - the School organises annual interschool events like:
- It celebrates the spirit of Independence Day through a variety of theme-specific competitions for all age groups.
- An event held on Children's Day where children demonstrate their knowledge on the different facets of our world in various competitions.
